It's hard not to compare this book to Ethical Slut, which the book calls the Poly bible, but they couldn't be more different. The content is the same but the approaches are totally different. Opening Up reads a bit more like a text book, but in the best way possible. This book provides more in-depth explanations of the various types of poly lifestyles as well as the most expansive Resource Guide I've ever seen. If you're anywhere in North America or on the internet (which I'm assuming you are...) there are probably several groups here for you! This book is perfection. This books is more about the relationships than just being able to have multiple sexual partners. I highly recommend you read this especially after Ethical Slut, they work so well together.
